The Delaware River valley between NY and Pa is a wintering spot for bald eagles. Between December and March, one can drive along route 97 and see numerous bald eagles perched on trees over the river or fishing on the ice. Additionally, the river's tributaries are also a good site for observing eagles. Perhaps as many as 10-to 15 eagles can be seen regularly after the lakes freeze. It really is a site to behold.
